Holiday Rewards

I hope everyone had a joyful and fulfilling Christmas.
normally a holiday for me would be filled with family and friend gatherings, great food and gifts. This year was no exception.
The change for me was the rewards and celebrations for me were all about enjoying time with our new grandchild, our daughter and son in law and our new extended family. That was wonderful and so much fun. And Santa came to see us in person!
What this holiday no longer was about, was eating until i needed a wagon to roll me out the door, or cocktails to alter my view of the day. Living like this no longer serves me. What brings me joy now is just eating status quo and being present in the moment. The human connections.
I also am trying to celebrate reaching my weight goals, so no food rewards, instead some pretty nails! Maybe more new clothes soon.
